Note: The world is a fascinating and interesting place. Sometimes seemingly unbelievable coincidences occur. This random story caught my attention and it is a true story.
On July 28, 1900, King Umberto was dining in a small restaurant in the town of Monza. The owner of the restaurant, who served him, bore a striking resemblance to the king.
As they began to converse, they discovered many other uncanny similarities:
They were both born on the same day — March 14, 1844.
They were both born in the same town — Turin, Italy.
The restaurateur had opened his restaurant on the same day that Umberto became King of Italy.
Both men had married women named Margherita on the same day.
The restaurant owner had a son who was born on the same day as Umberto’s son.
The following day, July 29, 1900, the restaurant owner was killed in an accidental shooting. Later that same day, King Umberto was assassinated, making their deaths another bizarre coincidence in their parallel lives.
