Riding a Flyboard in Puerto Vallarta

Posted on November 3, 2015 by Scott Brennan

Riding a Flyboard in Puerto Vallarta was definitely a highlight of our vacation. It took a few minutes to figure it out. It’s basically balancing on a snowboard underwater and then riding it to the surface, then into the sky. As you can see from my wobbling feet, it took a great deal of balance and constant adjustment. The trick to getting out of the water, which I thought was the hardest part, was locking my knees, tightening my core, and arching my back just a little. By the second half of my 30-minute ride, I felt like I was getting the hang of it. The driver in the jetski held the throttle and the I moved the board on two axis by shifting my weight. I’m looking forward to my next ride.
